Holy Hour of Reparation Prayers

"BEHOLD THE HEART WHICH HAS SO LOVED MANKIND!" God will never forget our sacrifices offered out of love for others.

“BEHOLD THE HEART WHICH HAS SO LOVED MANKIND!” God will never forget our sacrifices offered out of love for others.

According to Webster’s dictionary, reparation is “the act of making amends, offering expiation, or giving satisfaction for a wrong or injury.” Throughout the centuries, Catholics have been repeatedly encouraged to offer reparation to God for our sins, and for the sins of the whole world:

  • In 1673, The Sacred Heart of Jesus said to St. Margaret Mary: “Make reparation for the ingratitude of men. Spend an hour in prayer to appease divine justice, to implore mercy for sinners, to honor Me, to console Me for My bitter suffering when abandoned by My apostles, when they did not watch one hour with Me.”
  • In 1916, just before Our Lady visited the three shepherd children in Fatima, an angel relayed this message to them: “Offer up everything in your power as a sacrifice to the Lord in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners . . . More than all else, accept and bear with resignation the sufferings that God may send you.”
  • In 1928, Pope Pius XI wrote, in his encyclical Miserentissimus: “…that the necessity of Expiation or Reparation is especially urgent today must be evident to everyone who considers the present plight of the world….”

Please join us in our church on the last Sunday of each month from 9:00-10:00am for Holy Hour of Reparation prayers.

Following these prayers, Mass is offered at 10:30am.
